“Through the Tunnel” Prove Yourself Paragraph
A time when I had to prove myself is when I was in eighth
grade and I had a 0.0. I was really scared I wasn’t going to graduate with my
class. I was scared and didn’t know what to do. I felt like all my staff and
family members had given up on me and didn’t care. I thought I was going to be like
most of my family and drop out of high school. I had a month before graduation
day. I got all my missing work turned in. I began to focus and on graduation
day I passed with a 3.8. I was proud of myself even if no one else was.

My thanksgiving DayFirst person narrator from my point of view
My thanksgiving was horrible. I went to my mom’s house on Wednesday and left on Saturday. I had the worst thanksgiving ever this year. I was my mom’s house and I had taken my braids out so my hair looked ridiculous. I was also upset because my mom had my family over and I don’t really get along with them. My aunt started yelling and cussing at everyone and it irritated me. Then my cousin brought her kids and on top of that she was drunk. My sister tried to argue with me about every little thing. I know my little cousins were thinking that I was crazy but I’m not. I was very irritated on thanksgiving day and next year I will stay here at Spa.

“’Typhoid Fever’– Present Tense Childhood Memory.”

I am five years old and it’s raining outside. I hesitate to
put shoes on so I go outside any way. I open the day a breeze of fresh air
smacks me in the face. I step on to the ice cold cement and then I feel my mom
pull me back in the house. She told me to put shoes and a jacket on or I will
get sick. I didn’t care I just wanted to play outside. I put a jacket and shoes
on and went outside. I didn’t play I just stood there and looked up at the sky.
The rain drops were smacking my face. Other kids were playing in rain puddles
but I just stood there and let the rain fall on my face. That was the best day
of my life. The next day I got really sick and my mom never let me do it again.
