“’Typhoid Fever’– Present Tense Childhood Memory.”

I am five years old and it’s raining outside. I hesitate to put shoes on so I go outside any way. I open the day a breeze of fresh air smacks me in the face. I step on to the ice cold cement and then I feel my mom pull me back in the house. She told me to put shoes and a jacket on or I will get sick. I didn’t care I just wanted to play outside. I put a jacket and shoes on and went outside. I didn’t play I just stood there and looked up at the sky. The rain drops were smacking my face. Other kids were playing in rain puddles but I just stood there and let the rain fall on my face. That was the best day of my life. The next day I got really sick and my mom never let me do it again.
